Slow Creatures

Slow Creatures are a folk group from East Clare in the west of Ireland.

The group was founded by Rowan Noonan Ganley and Fiontán Cahill in late 2023, though the pair have been collaborating for many years. They are often joined by brother Cian Cahill on bass and harmonies, along with other musicians forming the full band for live shows.

They are known for their rich and honest vocal performances, stunning harmonies, emotive writing, and syncopated rhythms. Their music draws from an eclectic range of styles including folk, Americana, traditional Irish, alternative / indie, and pop.

Slow Creatures have performed at beautiful venues up and down the country, including Connolly’s of Leap, Sea Church Ballycotton, and the Ballydehob Jazz Festival, and already have exciting gigs and festivals booked for 2026 in Ireland and abroad.
