Slow Creatures are a folk group from East Clare in the West of Ireland. The group was founded by Rowan Noonan Ganley and Fiontán Cahill in late 2023, although the pair have been collaborating for many years. They are often joined by brother Cian Cahill who plays bass and sings harmonies, along with other musicians forming the full band for live shows.
They are known for their rich and honest vocal performances, stunning harmonies, emotive writing. & syncopated rhythms. The music incorporates an eclectic range of styles including folk, Americana, traditional Irish, alternative/ indie, and pop. Citing artists like Paul Simon, Nathaniel Rateliff & Joan Armatrading as influences.
Slow Creatures have had many beautiful gigs up and down the country including legendary venues such as Connolly’s of Leap, Sea Church Ballycotton & the Ballydehob Arts Festival, and already have some exciting gigs and festivals booked for 2026 in Ireland and abroad.
